Reformation Hymn Festival

First Lutheran will host a Reformation Celebration Hymn Festival on Sunday, October 29th at 4pm. The program will consist of hymns sung by an assembled congregation, with choir, organ, and brass quintet. Leadership of the choir will be under the direction of Dr. Paul Barte, professor of organ and music history at Ohio University. Many hymns of the Reformation era will be featured and teh program will offer a survey of hymns through the church year. All are invited to attend and join in song! Invite your friends.

Interested singers can also come earlier that afternoon, 2:00pm, for a choir rehearsal to prepare for the event. One need not be a member of the choir to do so. We will be joined by choir members from WVU-P and other area churches.
